I know many spectators say that the WAC stands for Weak Ass Conference, but the Warrior Football team can't force others to play them. I guess the flight overseas and the next to nil media exposure is enough to deter most teams from wanting to play here. But why hold it against UH!

There's a correction of sorts that has gone on (may still be going on) in the stock market as a whole, but I am fascinated by the two people I've heard recently say, "I lost money in the stock market."
My personal opinion is.. either (1) they have a time frame of a quarter or (2) they're investing in some absolutely weird stuff.
Let's see how the S&P 500 did over the last year...
The S&P 500 closed on August 31, 2006 at 1303.82;
the S&P 500 closed on August 31, 2007 at 1473.99.
A year is a short time frame in the investing world, and in a year, the gain on the S&P 500 is up 13 percent.
If you've "lost" money over that time, either you're investing in something other than the broad market or you're doing something else weird.

My uncles, the brave men and women of the 25th Infantry Division, the combat engineers of the 411th, "Ready and Able!", and me! :) I'll always remember serving with these great men and women! Please keep the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces in your thoughts and prayers while they are serving overseas seperated from their family and friends. I know many citizens might not agree with the war overseas, but please support the troops that serve our country! Here's to those that have served and to those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice..."We thank you and we'll never forget!"
